Sampling was conducted for two nights last November 16 and 17, 2018 at Malagos, Davao City. A total of six sites were selected, 2 residential areas, 2 agricultural areas and 2 forested areas.
A maximum of 50 bats were collected. Only non-endemic and non-threatened common species were included for sampling.
Pathogens investigated were limited to coronaviruses and leptospires.
The study was subjected to evaluation by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of University of the Philippines, Manila Protocol No. 2018-019 and Wildlife Gratuitous Permit No. XI-2018-07
