This research project is entitled ” Ecology of Emerging Zoonotic Pathogens From Bats in Malagos, Davao City “ which started last August 2017 and expected to end on September 2019. The main pathogens of focus in this project are Leptospira and Coronavirus. Professor Lyre Anni E. Murao, an Associate Professor of University of the Philippines Mindanao from the Department of Biological Science and Environmental Studies is spearheading this project. Professor Murao specializes in molecular virology, disease ecology and antivirals.
